Anniversary weekend!!

We had such a fun anniversary weekend, we left the kids over night for the first time ever! We missed them like crazy but it was nice to have just us for a night. We started off with dinner at Corbin's and then headed to Little America Hotel. The next day we had breakfast in our room, so fun!

There was so much food and it was all delicious!

I am so grateful for my amazing husband, he does everything for us and I love him so much. I don't know where I would be without him, thank you for a wonderful weekend!!

Airplane Museum

So our computer had a major meltdown about 2 weeks ago, but we are now up and running again! We had a wonderful anniversary weekend and it all started out with Scott taking the day off to go to the Airplane Museum. Jesse was so excited to see all the airplanes, the entire time we walked around he said "airpane, airpane, airpane" and there were a few "copter's" here and there. It was really fun to just spend time together as a family!!

There were some REALLY big planes!

And of course, our extremely cute kids!

Mya thought this one was very silly, she said "planes don't have mouths"

Daddy's all time favorite, the F-15. I think he was in heaven to stand so close to this plane, I had to drag him away from it.

There was a really fun kids center but we happened to show up just as they were going to lunch.

The museum was really fun but I think that Scott enjoyed the most, he was like a little kid in a candy shop. Wonderful day!!!

Mya Girl

Isn't she just the cutest!!! Mya is growing up and changing so much lately. She wants to know why things are this way and other things are that way. So MANY questions. The other day I told her that we were going to have some banana splits and she got a puzzled look on her face and said "What is a banana split?" I realized that there a lot of things that she still hasn't experienced yet. I love the questions that she has for me everyday but sometimes come evening I have to send her to daddy to answer some because my mind can that think about "why is Dorothy sad?" or "why is that wicked witch not nice?" for the 1000 time that day. It is so fun to see Mya wanting to learn about everything. Mya is such a happy sweet little girl, she tries very hard to be nice to her brother. Like any 3 year old she has what I call her bi-polar moments, Mya is so happy to see Jesse every morning and greets him with a hug and a kiss but within the next 5 minutes she will not want him with in a 12 foot radius of her. And then she will say "Jesse come in my room and see this surprise" and 2 seconds later "no don't touch that, MOM, I don't want Jesse in my room!"

I have just a couple little Mya stories to tell. The other day we were all outside while Daddy was mowing the lawn. Mya loves to catch moths, she calls them her butterflies. As soon as Daddy was done mowing she ran up to him and said:
"Daddy did you see me holding that butterfly?"
Daddy- "You know Mya, some people would call those moths!"
Mya- With a little half grin and a chuckle "Those are silly people Daddy."
Last Friday Scott had to go back to work after dinner and ended up staying really late to finish a few things up. As we were picking out our books to read before bedtime, I told Mya that because Daddy had to work tonight I needed her to stay in bed while I rocked Jesse to sleep. Mya replied: " That is not nice of Daddy to not take care of us."
Mommy- "But Daddy is taking care of us, he works so we can have money and have food and have this nice house to live in."
Mya- "I am going to work!"
Mommy- "You are going to get a job?"
Mya- "Yep! And I am going to share my money with Daddy."
Mommy- "That is very nice of you."
Mya- "Cause Daddy doesn't have any money!"
Mya is my little builder, she LOVES to build anything. I think her favorite things to build are towers. Mya feels that she must make them as tall as possible, even if brother doesn't get to play with any blocks. We are working on sharing!

Mya is such an athletic girl. She loves to play on her swing set and has learned how to get pretty high on the swing. Mya is also our little monkey. She jumps up onto to these handles and can pull her legs up so she is upside down. Who knows, maybe she will be a gymnast.

Park City

Scott had to travel all week a couple of weeks ago, so the day after he got home we decided to head up to Park City for a little family time. After we parked the car and headed over to Main Street, we noticed that it was shut down for a car show! Scott was so excited, there were vintage and brand new Mustangs everywhere. It was so fun to just walk up and down the street with the kids holding our hands and checking out all the cars. We ate at Main Street Pizza & Noodle, which is one of our favorites! I love to do fun little outings like this with our kids.

Love hanging out with these two little people

I will never pass up a hug from this little man

Pool

A few weeks ago, I took the kids to the Roy Pool with my sister-in-laws and their kids. It was so much fun! I was able to take Mya and Jesse on the big twisty slides and they both loved it. There were 3 moms and 7 kids and we all made it out alive! It was a blast!!
Mya, Jesse and cousin Whitney

Jesse LOVED going on this frog slide. As soon as he would get to the bottom, he would turn right around and head for the stairs again. We had to have a little talk on waiting your turn.

Mya also went on the frog slide a zillion times
