Swim lessons!!

In May, Mya had her first swim lessons!! She did so good. Mya learned how to blow bubbles with her mouth under the water, to do the back float, and she even will put her nose under the water now. We are so proud of how brave Mya was during swim lessons. Mya was very nervous about the water when she started but by the end of the 2 weeks she was so comfortable, I am so glad that we did swim lessons. Mya wants to swim all the time and all by herself. Good Job Bug!!

A little get away....

to Park City!!!

A few weekends ago, we went to Park City with the kids for 2 nights. We had so much fun!! We did not have any plans or expectations for the trip and it was GREAT! Mya was very excited to go stay in a hotel but also a bit nervous. I told her that we were going to stay 2 nights and she said "How about we stay 45 minutes?" Mya was most excited to play in the swim pool. She had just gotten done taking swimming lessons and she was so excited to swim all by herself (with the assistance of floaties, of course).
Mya and Jesse

After we got all settled in, we went to Scott and I favorite place to eat in Park City, Baja Cantina. It was delicious!! When we got back to the hotel Scott and Jesse were having a great time playing peek-a-boo with Scott's hat.

Cute Mya
Mya could not wait another minute to go swimming, so as soon as our food was settled we were off to the pool.
Jesse liked playing with his turtle both in and out of the swimming pool.
Getting ready to swim, thanks Daddy. I just love Mya's cute smile!!
All ready
One last picture with mom and Jesse.
Mya swimming all by herself, so proud!!
Jesse and Mya loved playing in the water. The great thing about swimming is it made our kids so tired that they slept wonderfully when we got back to our room.
The next morning, we went down to the continental breakfast that the hotel offered and it was so good. Mya hanging out in her BIG bed that she got to sleep in all by herself. She didn't even want me to lay by her like a usually do at home every night. I guess she is a big kid now.

Jesse playing in his bed.
The next stop was the Outlets for some shopping. You cannot go to Park City without going to the Outlets to shop, seriously. We found some really cute things for the kids, I LOVE the Outlets. We must have worn the kids out from swimming and shopping cause as soon as we got back to our room, Mya and Jesse took a nap for about 2 hours. I have to admit that Scott and I were not complaining.
Sooo sleepy

Swimming, swimming and more swimming. It seems like that is all we did on our trip but the kids loved it!!!

Daddy and the kids
Reading books before bed.
And then for some reason, I do not know why, Scott decided to take pictures of all of our eyes.
You gotta love those lashes
Even his eyes smile
I really don't know what I was doing
CRAZY EYES
I love my kids!!!
Swimming again!
Mya doing the back float.
Jesse loved playing on the stairs but I had to have a hand on him at all times.
Brother and Sister
We had such a great time. It was the first time that we have gone on a vacation with just our little family. Loved it and plan on doing it again.

Dancing Girl

Now that Mya is 3 years old, she gets to go to dance lessons all by herself. She is learning ballet and tap. Mya's classes are once a week for 45 minutes. On the first class of the month I can stay in a room and watch how Mya is doing. It has been so fun to be able to see her progress!!

Ready for dance, leg warmers and all!

Here is a little video of Mya stretching, she is the little girl on the teachers right hand side. Mya is wearing a pink leotard and grey shorts.

Here is another one! I took about 7 little videos but I will not post all, that way you do not feel the need to watch them ALL. It does get a little boring if it is not your child. I am just so proud of Mya, she is such a shy little girl sometimes and she has always had a hard time when I have left her. Mya has changed so much in the past year, she is growing up too fast!!

Jesse's 1st Birthday

Jesse's birthday was alot of fun! When Jesse woke up the morning of his birthday we went in and sang Happy Birthday. He was excited about it at first but then he got really sad, I think that he wanted someone to pick him up and hold him. I have to admit that Jesse got to one year old way too fast. He is already an independent little boy but now he thinks that he is a really big kid. We had a few family members over for cake and ice cream and it was so much fun.

Right before everyone showed up
Opening presents

So happy about all his new toys
Jesse's personal cake
Before digging into his cake
Jesse was so excited about the candle and fire, he wanted to touch it so bad but mom would not let him.
Finger lickin' good!
And of course Mya had to help brother get some icing
YEAh for cake!
While I was cleaning up Jesse, I came back to find Mya digging into her piece of cake with her hands. Such a little stinker!
It was such a fun night and we are so glad that Jesse was able to join our family!!! We love being a family of 4. Happy Birthday Jesse!
The next day we met up with Jesse's birth mother, it was so nice to see her again! Joey is so sweet and we love her so much!

Missing daddy

Last week Scott was gone to California for 3 days for work. Scott doesn't have to travel very often so it was NO FUN. Mya, Jesse and I missed him so much, everyday Mya would cry to me and say "I miss my daddy." We made a welcome home sign for Scott and Mya loved decorating it with stickers and paint. Jesse was so sick of us girls that by the time Scott got home, Jesse wanted nothing to do with me. Jesse was so excited when Scott got home, it was so cute to see how much he loves his dad. We all love you so much Scott and are glad that you are home!!!
