Scott's Birthday

November 23rd, just 2 days before Thanksgiving this year, was Scott's 32nd birthday!! Mya was so very excited for her daddy's birthday this year. The day before Scott's birthday I told Mya that we were going to get balloons and decorate the house for daddy's birthday the next day. And that when dad came home from work the next day, on his birthday, that we would shout "surprise" and sing Happy Birthday to him. Well, as soon as Scott walked in from work (the day before his birthday) Mya ran up to him and said "Daddy, tomorrow on your birthday when you get home from work we are going to shout "surprise" and sing to you. It is going to be a surprise, how fun huh!" Scott and I were grinning from ear to ear, trying so hard not to laugh. Mya is such a sweet heart! Scott wanted homemade pizzas and German Chocolate cake for his birthday dinner, so that is what we did.

Blowing out the candles
Mya said that daddy does not turn 32 until he blows out the candles on his birthday cake. I am pretty sure next year he doesn't want to blow out his candles!!

We had such a fun night hanging out with our little family. Scott said that this was one of his best birthdays ever!! I love this man so much, he is my best friend!!! I don't know where I would be without him in my life. We have been through a lot together and he has always been there when I needed him most. We have laughed together, cried together and rejoiced together. Forever and ever babe, I LOVE YOU!!

One last Mya story just cause I love that fact that Scott is older than me. About a week before Scott's birthday, he walked in the door from work with a ton of stuff in his hands. Scott happened to groan a little bit as Mya came around the corner and Mya asked "daddy what is the matter?" Scott replied "oh Mya, I am getting old." Mya immediately said "daddy, you are already old!" Love this girl!!

Halloween 2010

Halloween was so much fun this year!! The kids are at such wonderful ages. Jesse learned to say trick or treat right before Halloween so that was really fun. Then he learned the word candy right after Halloween. Now he will wake up in the morning and say to us "mo, andy". Mya is at such a fun stage with all her questions, so so fun!!

Here are our pumpkins this year for Halloween, Mya loved the scary one and Jesse said it was "Spooky"

The kids in their costumes before we went trick or treating. Mya was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Jesse was the Lion. Mya was so excited to be Dorothy and wear her ruby slippers. She wore her Dorothy outfit every day the week of Halloween.

The day before Halloween, we had a Halloween party at our house with my side of the family! We had delicious soups and bread sticks for dinner, followed by some games and just hanging out together as a family. I so love Halloween it is one of my favorite holidays.

Gardner Village & Pumpkin Patch

A couple weeks before Halloween, we went to Gardner Village with Scott's mom, sisters and sister-in-law. It just so happened that we went during UEA and it was CRAZY there. This was my first time visiting Gardner Village, it is a pretty fun place. It was decorated so cute with witches everywhere and there are such fun shops to wonder through. I hope to go back sometime without the kids so I can check out some more stores. All the grand kids got there faces painted, Mya was a little nervous but was so happy when she got to see how cute it turned out. All of Mya's girl cousins wanted swirly designs but Mya wanted spider webs, I love it!

Jesse got spider webs too

Mya loves balloons

After Gardner Village, we went to lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory, yum!! We then went home and grabbed grandpa and our husbands and headed to a near by pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins. The whole crew on the hayride.

Our little family

I can imagine Jesse saying in his head "This is the one dad, right here."

Mya was so excited to bring home our pumpkins and put them on our porch.

Cute pictures

One day after I dressed the kids, I noticed that their outfits kind of matched. So, we went outside by our shed and I took a few pictures of them. I think that they turned out alright!!

Girls Weekend

The first weekend in October, my mom, sisters, sister-in-law and nieces all went to Park City for a night. It was so much fun!! We shopped, ate, swam and shopped some more. I think the little girls had so much fun hanging out with just the girls for the weekend. This is a tradition I hope that we will keep doing!!

Having dinner at Baja Cantina, our favorite!!

At dinner the girls got matching sunglasses, so cute!!

I think that the swimming was Mya's favorite part of the trip!!

I can't wait until next year girls!!

Zoo

We took the kids to the Zoo at the end of September(I know, I am behind). It was so much fun! We went on a Monday and it was so great because there was hardly any people there, so we were able to see everything. Before we headed in Scott had to have his protein drink so he could keep up with the kids :)

Monkeys...LOVE the monkeys and Mya was so excited because there was this little family of monkeys. If you look really close there is a baby monkey right between the mom and dad. She LOVED it!! We could have left the zoo at that point and she would have been perfectly happy.

LOVE this picture!!

Jesse was really into all the animals, he would not look at the camera.

Watching the elephants

Jesse did not want to leave the elephants

And of course, we always ride the Merry-Go-Round

Jesse was nervous the whole time, would not look at or smile for the camera but then when it stopped he kept saying "mo, mo".

While we were looking at all the beautiful birds, one decided to join us!

Bunnies

LOVE monkeys, so cute!

Now this was a bit terrifying, watching a leopard stare down my 3 year old like she was going to be lunch. Mya was not afraid, brave girl. After a few minutes he started pacing in front of the window, we were a little nervous then we saw the zoo keepers coming to feed him. I guess he knows when it is lunch time.

Ice cream break

Tigers are so beautiful!
